Service Description

An Ayurvedic therapy in which warm medicated oil is used externally and held on specific body areas (like back, neck, or knees) using a dough ring. It can help to nourish tissues, improve circulation, reduce pain and inflammation, bringing balance to the body, mind and spirit. Basthi Treatment will be tailored to your specific needs determined during the intake process and consultation. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Pregnancy. Breast-feeding. Post partum (less than 4 weeks). Menses. Low blood pressure. Active headache or migraine. Acute allergies. Active cold/flu. Skin disease. Open wounds, healing scars or burns. Indigestion or severe constipation. Diarrhea. Strong hunger. Recently taken a large meal, laxative, or consumption of drugs or alcohol. Recent surgery (less than 8 weeks). Currently in treatment for cancer. Acute head injury. Brain tumor.
